Junior Iron Chef RVA Food Festival and Cooking Competition Highlights Healthy Nutrition in Richmond
The NRC, Peter Paul Development Center, and The Market at 25th St. present an 8-week summer youth enrichment program: “Jr. Iron Chef RVA“. This is a focused curriculum that teaches youth about healthy eating, kitchen skills, and farm-to-table resources. In addition, these hands-on cooking classes provide basic nutrition lessons to area kids.
After the 8 weeks, there will be a fabulous Food Festival and Cooking Competition.
Jr. Iron Chef RVA happens every Wednesday.
I am always delighted at the enthusiasm the children have for cooking! They pour their hearts into learning about fresh food and healthy choices and they can take that back to their families.
