VCU Medical Center’s Injury and Violence Prevention Program
The VCU Health Emerging Leaders Program invites you to participate in our summer workshop series! Geared towards 14-18 year olds, the series aims to inspire, empower, and educate young people on how to navigate their personal lives.
Through participating, youth are encouraged to dig deep and challenge their ways of thinking. Programming will incorporate both interactive activities and thought-provoking discussion. Lunch and snacks are provided.
Workshops will take place on the following dates:
- June 27th and 28th from 11am-2pm: Leadership and Social Responsibility
- July 11th and 12th from 11am-2pm: Personal Growth and Self-Empowerment
- July 25th and 26th from 11am-2pm: Relationships and Team Building
- August 8th and 9th from 11am-2pm : Career Explorations

Emerging Leaders is just one of our programs aimed at preventing youth violence. It is a program for high school students in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Richmond, VCU Police Department and Richmond Police Department.
