Lyft Offers Rides to Local Black History Sites

During the month of February, Lyft is offering one free ride up to $10 to local Black history museums, memorials, and black-owned businesses in our community and others across the US and Canada.

With 52% of our drivers in our area identifying with a minority group, we see the importance of celebrating the diversity that we have right around us. As local riders look for ways to learn more about the many contributions Black culture has made to American history, Lyft is using its platform to bring greater understanding, connection, and support to our very own diverse community.

Riders can use BHMRIC19 anytime this month for one free ride up to $10 to the following locations:

  1. Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia
  2. Virginia Museum of History and Culture
  3. Maggie L Walker National Historic Site

Check out this blog for details on the various cities participating.
