Records & Relics : Grand Opening Tomorrow from 12-6 PM

Records & Relics
2704 E. Marshall St
Richmond, VA 23223

We emailed shop owner, Gregory Wells, about the exciting new addition to the neighborhood.

What made you open here in Church Hill?
I have been a vendor at Tiny Space since they opened and Anna, the owner was the one who tipped me off about the availability. I lived on Marshall for a few years and love the area.

What are you most excited about?
I’ve been building up to doing this for a long time and am just excited to finally open the doors and make it a reality.

What can you tell someone who’s never been to a record store before? Why should they come visit you?
Firstly although records will be a large percentage of the inventory I will also sell books, decor, small antiques and furniture. Also my wife, Aijung Kim a printmaker will have a full run of her art including notecards, linocut prints and zines. As for the records firstly it will be all used, second it will be fairly well curated and ideally I’ll turn the inventory over as frequently as possible.

What’s your favorite spot in the neighborhood?
My wife and I love Libby Hill and Jefferson Hill and Liberty Public House for brunch.

Anything else you’d want to share?
Hours will be Weds-Sat 12-6 and 12-5 on Sunday. Closed on Monday and Tuesday. Also I’m always buying quality used vinyl of most all genres.
Also, check out IG @recordsandrelicsrva for updates, info.

I have a lot of old records from the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s that are just collecting dust in my house. I’ll let you have them for the cost of getting them out of here.

I’m looking for the Fifth Dimension called “The Magic Garden . Do you know if you have a copy of that? Thanks, Cathy
