Not turkey vultures. These guys are black vultures, which are smaller, have black heads, and more rounded wings. There’s a social group of them that hangs out at the landfill to the east. 🙂
what’s going on with the snake? I saw him a few weeks back I think and just stopped my car to allow his safe passage. Why are folks messing with him? Just a rodent-eating black snake, right?

Yeah, just a black snake. Hope they left it alone. We see it (or one similar) all the time in the dog park.
The folks are trying to get him off the road, I believe.
