At a LISC meeting on the development of the 25th Street/Nine Mile corridor. One of the suggestions is putting together a business association for the area.
Is there any interest in this? Hit me up at murden@gmail.com or comment below if you’ve got any kind of business up here & let me know what you think.

As a local realtor, I love this idea.

Yup, the Urban Set Bride/Groom family would be into that.

Could a business association pool their resources and get health insurance for their employees? Just curious.
CRD, you know I love you like crazy. That idea is sitting on a cart about a thousand miles ahead of the horse. I’m sure this forum would benefit from ideas about how to act now, though you have a great suggestion for future goals!
I think a business association would be great, and I would emphasize strategy for the area. (Can we pool to advertise in an economic way? What other businesses do we need to attract to drive foot traffic? What is the identity of our area? Are we fulfilling everyone’s needs and are we sustainable? How does a business association help incentivize other people to bring money into our neighborhood?)
It’s a cool concept, and I’m glad it’s been thrown out there for discussion.
