From the Valentine, via Richmond Newspapers:
Black and white photograph of the exterior of Grubbs Super Market in the Fulton neighborhood of Richmond on Williamsburg Road; image shows the front of the small brick building; food ads are taped in every window; several cars are parked in the parking lot; Grubbs is one of only two buildings remaining in the once populated area, the rest were torn down during urban renewal.

Wow! I remember going here when I was a little girl! Love this fond memory!
Many years ago Mr. Grubbs gave me some good advice on getting older (I was in his store on my birthday when I was young.): “Just get up and move around.”
Was just talking to a neighbor about this the other day. They delivered, which was mighty convenient back in the day. The man in the photo is Clay Grubbs, too.
