Thank you everybody!

We raised $507 of our $500 goal for the
Armstrong High Softball Team this weekend.

The call has gone out on Armstrong Wildcats Athletics Facebook group for help in supporting the Armstrong High Softball team.

Coach Glenn Anderson says, “We are in need of sponsorships [for] pre-game meals and purchase of hoodies for the players. Any assistance in these areas will be very appreciated.

It will take approximately $100 to feed the team of 20 for a given game. The price per hoody is approximately $18 ($360 outfits the whole squad).

Groups and individuals can donate towards the program. Donations can be made out to Armstrong High School Softball Program and sent to the school at 2300 Cool Lane, Richmond, Virginia 23223. Contact Coach Anderson at (804)543-9097 for more information.

If you find it easier to donate online, we have also launched the Support the Armstrong Softball Team fundraiser on Indiegogo. We would like to raise at least $500 towards a set of hoodies and a meal for the young ladies. Can you give $25?

It might be worth seeing if any of the area restaurateurs would be willing to donate a meal to the team…

When nascar and cycling raise money they sell advertising space on the uniforms, seems a better long term plan.

OK FOLKS we need less than 300$ to put this away. Can you kick $10 to help the Armstrong Softball Team?

Great letter from Coach Anderson to his players at the close of the season:

I would like to say how proud I am of the Armstrong Lady Wildcats Softball Team and the season we had in 2015. We accomplished a lot considering our inexperience by losing 9 seniors last year. Despite that, we still managed to be the Conference 26 Regular Season Runner-Up and 3rd Place in the Conference 26 Tournament. We lost a hard fought 9-5 battle against Petersburg last night. Most importantly, the young ladies that hung in there, stayed the course, and carried themselves the RIGHT way on and off the field were the ultimate winners in my book. They are STUDENTS first, then athletes and they make the entire coaching staff very proud.
