Dr. Wyatt Tee Walker (former chief of staff to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and civil rights leader) was the centerpiece of a discussion panel Monday at the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club on R Street. The panel was moderated by Kelli Lemon, and included Mike Maruca (Head of School at Anna Julia Cooper), Victor Rogers (President Urban League of Greater Richmond Young Professionals), Diane Walker (Anchor, Fox News at 10 & NBC12 Investigative Reporter), and Micah White (Comedian & Founder, RVA Has Talent).
The hour-long discussion repeatedly returned to the importance of education and perseverance, and touched on topics ranging from Dr.Walker’s experiences in Birmingham with Dr.King to reparations, #BlackLivesMatter, police in black communities, and HBCUs.

Wow – this guy sounds incredible. Sorry I missed this – does he ever do other appearances around Richmond?
This might be it… He mentioned at one point that he’s had a number of strokes.
