Everyday roughly 30% of the students at the Anna Julia Cooper School ride their bikes to class; most of them from the nearby housing project that they call home. Their bike is the only reliable transportation to a school that provides them with a tuition free private education in a safe, loving and nurturing environment. Their bike is freedom.
