The RTD has a look at push-back against keeping the city jail in the East End:

Lawrence E. Williams Sr., an Eastview resident who ran unsuccessfully for mayor in 2004 and 2008, said the jail has been a blight on the East End for decades and must be relocated to give the next generation of residents a chance at prosperity.
