A new house is going up at the double lot at 3312/3314 N Street some 16 years after the previous house was demolished. Interestingly, the crew seems to be living on site during the construction.
An odd detail is that Google Maps seems to think that there is a Western Union on this long-vacant corner.

Maybe they’re just using it as an office for this unbearable heat?
There was a house on this corner that was demolished this spring. You can see it on google maps street view still standing in it’s dilapidated glory.

This was on the lot next to the construction. I snapped this when started clearing the lot next door.
