A house gone feral in a small patch of woods just west of the train tracks in Shockoe Valley is burning dramatically this afternoon. Firefighters are having something of a difficult time just getting to the burning structure.

Which house? The big one or the shack… I have pics of the bigger one.
Oh sorry, I see the pic now (I’m at work.. it doesn’t allow pics some times. I do have pics of that place.
I’d love it if you could send me a photo of what the building looked like.
John and/or Cadeho, could you share a photo with NBC12.com? Load it in our Send It to 12 at NBC12.com or email me: priggan@nbc12.com
THANKS, sorry for the smell and smoke….
Wow. I didn’t know anyone lived down there.
It was an abondoned place. I’m not sure if it had anything to do with the railyard or if it was a house left from when the streets used to run through there. I won’t be home until about 10:30 or 11PM.
A “…house gone feral.”
Great!
@ann – I got that from this guy.
Here are 2 of Cadeho’s photos from 3/6/2006 of the building that burned yesterday:
I was wondering what that was burning down there…I went past it three times on 95 and 64 and never could get a look at it without rear-ending someone.
Good pics (surprising that anyone had any of that place). Probably hobos moved in and caused a fire…
