The RTD looks at Gable Painter’s award-winning and TV-bound renovation of 816-818 North 23rd Street in Flipped to the extreme – Union Hill renovation worthy of Learning Channel program was ‘a nightmare’ undertaking. The Learning Channel, which airs the “Flip That House” series, will broadcast a special show called “Flip It Back” detailing the renovation of this house on November 1.

“It was a total disaster — a crack house. People were using piles of old clothes as a bathroom,” said Bill Hartsock, an agent with Francisco, Robinson and Associates Realtors who is selling the homes.

The final schedule for Gable’s show has some changes:

11/17 @ 9:00 PM
11/18 @ 12:00 midnight
11/24 @ 6:00 PM

The name of the show changed to Flip It Back and with any luck, there will be more like it. They may return to Church Hill at some future date from what the producer says. This will also be the first time that the show will run an hour.

I am a realtor and come across older historic homes. This is always a great idea. I would love to se more of this type of show.

I would also like more information regarding the mill that was featured that did some of the restorations.

I hope that you do this again.
