A Save Richmond piece on mayoral candidate Pantele linked out to the Virginia Public Access Project. VPAP is a non-profit group the makes it easy to access the public records of who has donated how much to a candidate for office.

The New York Times peeps our recent Mayor/City Council/School Board issues in Famous Mayor Under Fire in Virginia, and, apparently unable to find a Wilder supporter in office, quotes the Mayor’s 7th District Roundtable representative (and former 7th District School Board Representative) Reggie Malone backing the mayor.

new & renovated schools plan revisited
A draft update on the school system’s facilities master plan, a step toward Mayor L. Douglas Wilder’s “City of the Future”, was presented to City Council last night. The plan includes efforts to replace George Mason Elementary and Woodville Elementary, renovate and add to Martin Luther King Jr. Middle, and evaluate Bellevue Elementary School for closing. [via]

We were forwarded an email that appears to have been sent out from Sam Patterson (liaison to 7 District Council Representative McQuinn) as a response to a request by Mayor Wilder to move from her office space at the East District Initiative building.

looking at a neighborhood in bloom
The dedication of the new little park at 23rd, Short Q, and Carrington Streets tomorrow will also serve as an opportunity for Better Housing Coalition to display some of their work with tours of new and renovated houses in the Fairmount, Union Hill, and Church Hill North neighborhoods. Mayor Wilder, Councilperson McQuinn, BHC Executive Director TK Somanath (and others) will speak, and a lunch will be provided.
