The RTD’s Housing 101 a helpful class looks at the free first-time homebuyers class offered monthly at the East End library. Freda Green-Bolling, the VHDA-certified trainer who leads the sessions, herself bought a house in Fairmount through the Neighborhoods in Bloom program program and Better Housing Coalition.

library seeks volunteers for homework help

The East End Library Advisory Council met yesterday evening at the library at 25th and R Streets. The Council is working to put in place programs and events that complement the Mayors’ initiative for the East End Library of increased Early Childhood Literacy, and also to increase users of the library. To get one of the programs up and running, they are seeking volunteers for an afternoon tutoring & homework help program. Interested?
