Elaine at Church Hill Photography has the story (and some great photos) of the denouement of an annual 35-mile New Year’s ride from Charles City County to Church Hill of some local riding clubs. The ride always ends a Jefferson Park, overlooking Downtown Richmond, the State Capitol, and I-95, just at sunset.

trees for Jefferson Park update
The species and planting location of each of the new trees for Jefferson Park have been marked in the park on stakes with yellow plastic tape on them. Any interested person is invited to attend a meeting with Norm Brown of the Adopt a Tree Program tomorrow (10/12) at 1pm at the park to review the suggested planting layout.

Jefferson Park update & tree challenge!
The city will be planting seven new trees in Jefferson Park this fall/winter. Unfortunately, the park needs an additional 13 trees along the perimeter of the park to replace other trees that have been lost. Find out how you can help…

1st Annual Decorating of the Tree @ Jefferson Park
The new evergreen put in Jefferson Park by the Union Hill Civic Association and the Friends of Jefferson Park was decorated for the season this morning. You can still stop by and add your ornament!
