Mo’Book Mo’Bike Mobile today at MLK
Books on Wheels stopped at MLK Middle School today and fixed a bunch of bikes and gave away a bunch of books. They’ll be returning the area in a few weeks as part of their tour of Richmond’s libraries, with a stop at the East End Library on June 20th.

free dance program for girls
There is a great opportunity for girls (ages 8 to 18) to participate in a free three week dance program offered at the Family Resource Center at 2405 Jefferson Ave 23223. The classes will be held on Saturday June 9th, 16th , and 24th from 10-12 p.m. A free performance for friends, family and community members will be held on Sunday, June 24th 3-5 p.m. in front of the eye catching murals painted by ART180.

There will be a Union Hill/Jefferson Park Community Yard Sale this Saturday, June 9th. This will be a multi-family/community yardsale. looking at a neighborhood in bloom
The dedication of the new little park at 23rd, Short Q, and Carrington Streets tomorrow will also serve as an opportunity for Better Housing Coalition to display some of their work with tours of new and renovated houses in the Fairmount, Union Hill, and Church Hill North neighborhoods. Mayor Wilder, Councilperson McQuinn, BHC Executive Director TK Somanath (and others) will speak, and a lunch will be provided.
