a call for volunteers

Inspired at least in part by the reception that this site has gotten, other neighborhood sites are in the works. Inspired that these sites are all group efforts, I am once again putting out the call for volunteers.

Delonte Durrell Lewis, 18, pleaded guilty Thursday to the March 2006 killing of Elaine Bowen, 55, at 23rd and T Streets. [via]

The RTD looks at Faith Covenant Christian Fellowship Church’s drum line, “a drum line for boys 10 to 18 from Richmond’s Mosby Court area.”

Richmond still losing population, but are we?

The RTD is reporting that has Richmond lost just under 3% of the population since 2000. Does anyone have any numbers on more specific areas of the city?

The house at 1813 North 23rd Street caught fire just after 4pm today. The extent of the damage or any possible injuries are unknown at this time.

7th District Representative Delores McQuinn is holding a 7th District Town Meeting at Powhatan Rec Center (5051 Northhampton St.) at 10:30AM. Also, Mayor Doug Wilder will be presenting his State of the City Address today at noon at 919 East Main Street.
