Joshua Poteat awarded 2015 Carole Weinstein Prize in Poetry

Local poet Joshua Poteat is the winner of the 2015 Carole Weinstein Prize in Poetry:

Poteat won a National Poetry Series prize in 2014 for “The Regret Histories” and an honorable mention at the 2007 LOV Literary Awards for “Ornithologies.”

His other books include “Illustrating the Machine That Makes the World: From J.G. Heck’s 1851 Pictorial Archive of Nature and Science” and the chapbooks “The Scenery of Farewell and Hello Again,” “For the Animal” and “Meditations.”
