From Ann on Venable Street:
dominion is non-responsive but union hill and much of the east end has no street lights – 2nd night. any ideas or info?
from shockoe north. but nobody knows nothing.
city ‘after hours’ emergency crew coming together to ‘triage’ but no idea when or if it’s something even the city crews can fix.
due to weekend computer maintenance, system shut down til midnight and the emergeny operator has no idea if anything to address the same outage last night. she finds no email to indicate that the problem was addressed.
second night here for no street lights and city op has no idea when situation will be checked or amended

Street lights out again on The Hill @chpn ????
Um shit is scary dark in Church Hill. @chpn
When the streetlights go out in a 200 yr old neighborhood, it is sort of horror movie scary.
Total darkness in Church Hill right now. Did someone forget to pay the whale oil supplier?
report also made to dominion but their callback number leaves a message that the number is not in service. what fun!
Julie Oliver liked this on Facebook.
“@chpn: Who needs streetlights anyway? http://t.co/FFgP1zauG1” however, the birds at least realize it’s night now and don’t sing until dawn!
You could film a horror movie in Church Hill when the streetlights are out.
Fuse blew Sunday at Church Hill substation, lights were out 8:30p-midnight
When I went upstairs to hop in bed and found there was no need to fiddle with the curtains, I may have executed a little fist pump.
But yes, lights off in a historic part of town is a bit creepy.
Speaking of Utility buddy…you know you can have Mr Gas meter visit your kids school, or birthday party or…bachealor party I guess….
