Fulton Bottom Homicide
The Richmond Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred yesterday in the city.
At 12:24 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 25, a call was received reporting shots fired in the Fulton Bottom neighborhood. When officers arrived they discovered the body of Adam Jamal El, 25, 800 block of Old Nicholson Street, lying on the ground at the intersection of Old Nicholson and Fulton Streets.
He had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe this was not a random shooting.
