Group wants to establish boys-only charter school for grades 6-12

A group called the Richmond Urban Collective is proposing a boys-only charter school for the city of Richmond. Church Hill Preparatory Academy is designed to serve about 100 students each in grades six through 12. It would begin with a sixth-grade class as early as the fall of 2014 and add one grade each year for seven years, if it gains approval from the city’s School Board.
