Not sure if you want to post this without a picture. About 20 minutes ago I spotted a toy dog (likely a chihuahua or miniature pinscher), black with brown markings, running in the road at 27th St and Cedar St outside my house. I sat down and tried to get him to come to me but he was too scared and ran off down 27th towards O St.
I think I saw this same dog yesterday at 22nd and O.

He lives at 28th and O on the corner in a fenced in yard.
If it has a little red and black checkered vest, he is now in montrose!
No vest!
I live on 27th & cedar and see him all the time. He has a collar on sometimes and lives in one of the houses that backs up to the field along the 27th street alley. It does worry me that he sneaks out of his backyard so much!
Ah ok. Well yea that is terrible. When I saw him he was terrified and running in front of cars in the road. And he’s so little… Not good at all 🙁

I’ve seen a lot of this since moving to CH about 3 years ago. On a weekly basis I see two of my neighbors dogs running loose through the neighborhood, both of which are kept on makeshift runs in unsecured yards. One is a beautiful, friendly pit, the other is a loud little mutt that tries to snap at you if you attempt to grab him. I also frequently see loose dogs while out on runs, which never happened when I live in other areas of the city. CH dog owners need a lesson in responsibility/dog training.
Just take a look at posts here. It seems like weekly there are dogs, cats, even birds (and a rabbit) that gets loose. If you have a small dog that runs past you at a door, pick them up before opening it. If they get under fences, fix the holes. Pet ownership involves more than just feeding it.
don’t forget the chickens that got loose
