Vote for your favorite renovation and new construction projects

The Golden Hammer Awards are back for 2016 with online voting open to the public. You can vote once per day, per device.

The four categories this year are:

  • Best Single-Family Residential Renovation
  • Best Adaptive Reuse Project
  • Best New Construction
  • Best Placemaking Project

Public voting will be open until midnight, April 30, after which time the panel of mostly esteemed judges will add their weighted scores to the totals and determine winners in each category. Winners will be announced on May 18 at the Citadel of Hope on Venable Street at the GROUNDBREAKERS 2016 event.

418 North 25th Street Best Adaptive Reuse Project

2305 Venable Street Best Single-Family Residential Renovation

Yes. So many great projects! I’m voting for 2305 Venable St but I’m a little biased.

They have the East End theater listed twice under the Adaptive Reuse category on the Golden Hammer website. Who do you contact about that?

These are all pretty awesome, but one question – are these projects completed last year? What’s the cutoff/how does it work, year to year?

@Lee – the cutoff is usually sometime in March now, but yes, it’s essentially projects completed in the last year

Tim, I agree with you! One house has been completed and should have been nominated.

Can a write in nomination / campagn be instituted here? Why can’t a petition be started?
