Local and state-wide offices on primary ballot in June

The next election in the City of Richmond will be a Democratic Party Primary and a Republican Party Primary election on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, towards nominating candidates for the ballot in November.

The polls will be open from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Voters can only participate in one of the primaries, and will need to present a photo ID.

Democratic Party Primary Candidates

If you are voting in the Democratic Party Primary, you will have 4 or 5 choices to make, depending on whether or not you are in the 70th House District.

Also, Bobby Junes is running as an independent candidate for Lt. Governor and will appear on the ballot in November. Mr.Junes came in last of 7 candidates in the 2016 Richmond Mayoral election with 0.37% of the vote.

Weird, last week’s Free Press had a letter to the editor from Joe Morrissey saying don’t vote for Michelle Mosby for Treasurer. But I don’t see her name here. Is she maybe running as an independent?
