WPA Bakery closing, will re-open as new bakery

From the WPA Bakery Facebook:

We have some bitter-sweet news. Church Hill has been our home for 8 years. We couldn’t have asked for a better neighborhood to be a part of.  During these crazy times we have been forced to reassess our situation to ensure that we come out strong and vibrant on the other side of the pandemic.  We’ve concluded that the best solution is to consolidate into one location. We will be merging with our Southside location at 3414 Semmes Ave starting in October. The good news is that Southside will be expanding its hours to 7 days a week from 7AM-6PM.

More sweet news is that we will be passing the torch to Jessie and Jackie, two talented sisters who have baked for us for some time. They are going to take over the space and start their new adventure with their own vision. We know that you are going to love them! 

WPA Bakery was opened in November 2012 by  David Rohrer and Kendra Feather. David was awarded the 2014 Elby for Best Pastry Chef/Baker, and opened up WPA Bakery Southside in the summer of 2016.
