Howdy Neighbors! Sharing this for the Church Hill Association Membership Meeting!
Hello fellow CHA members and all Church Hillians!
We are attempting our first ever Membership Meeting via Zoom on Tuesday, June 16th at 7:00 pm. We hope that everyone can join us, and we will do what we can to make it easy for you to do so.
All members will receive an invitation via separate email, and all folks who are not current members, but would like to attend, can contact Alli Alligood, at president@churchhill.org, and she will send them an invitation.
So many of you are already communicating through Zoom these days, but for those of you who are not familiar with it, you will need to first go online and download the free Zoom app. Then when you receive the email invitation to the meeting from us, you can click on the link provided there. You will be put in a virtual waiting room for a moment before you’ll be admitted by our membership folks Beth and Chris – just like at our check-in table at our in-person meetings. They will confirm your membership status for voting purposes, and you will join the meeting with everyone else.
Again, for those not familiar with Zoom, a couple of key things to know:
• This platform allows us to see you, and for you to see everyone else in the meeting. You will see small images of those of us at the meeting arranged on your screen.
• We can all hear each other as well, and you will be able to speak to the group. We ask that you keep your microphone muted when not speaking to keep background noise to a minimum.
• The easiest way for us to receive questions and comments is via the Chat function on your Zoom screen. We can also acknowledge folks who wish to ask a question or speak to the group if you use the Raise Hand symbol next to your name in the Participants list.
• Also, if you have not participated in a virtual gathering like this before and would like to practice before our actual meeting, we are setting up a Test Zoom to help you feel comfortable with this new meeting set-up, and to help answer questions you may have. This test meeting will take place on Monday, June 15th at 6 pm. If you want to participate in this test meeting, just email Alli at aalligood@icloud.com for the invitation to join.
