I am having a brain melt cuz I can’t recall the name of the African Woman who was an architect who lived in that area and has a park named after her that is right where the school is but that’s who the school should be named after…will drive by after voting and see..

I’m sure we can dig up something on almost any American historical figure to justify changing a school name.

More wasted money…why don’t we just call schools by the name of the locality and a number….Richmond, 1, 2 3,4…keep it simple since so many people are”offended” by history. Just thinking out loud…

Changing school names for the sake of ‘social justice’ is a total waste of taxpayer money. If the parents, PTA, etc of the school district want to change the name, let them raise the funds on their own.

And the city continues to bilk the taxpayers but can only make decisions to make the woke people feel good. Keep on paying those taxes, results astound me every day.

I don’t understand how George Mason doesn’t fall under the naming guidelines.. He wrote the Virginia Declaration of Rights! Which then molded the US Bill of Rights… this seems like a waste of time and resources.
