Pop up restaurant experiences can be average experiences for hungry diners, but the Brennan Griffith sold-out event for Nam Prik Pao! last month was anything but!
I wandered in with my other half on a cool Sunday night, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff of friends and the incredible aroma of Thai food cooking in the background. The transformation of the Sub Rosa space as a restaurant was surprising, filling up quickly (our seating was at 7:30) with over 24 excited locals ready to eat some delicious Thai cuisine.
“We want more” was the feeling of the night. Multiple entrees were served at once in a family style dinner where small portions of a single dish came up before sampling the next. The effect was wondrous. Tasting coconut curry with a citrusy salad followed up with a spicy stir fry and then the most amazing coconut ice cream…words can describe how amazing it all was, but it’s an event better experienced than anything I could write.
Now you get to try a different type of menu as Chef Brennan promises a vegan friendly experience next month at Sub Rosa. If you’ve ever wanted to try something tasty and scrumptious and satisfying, please do yourself a favor and reserve your spot!
