Khizr Khan will speak at Historic St. John’s Church
Richmond, VA: Khizr Khan will present a talk at Historic St. John’s Church on September 24, 2019. Mr. Khan’s talk, entitled “Our Constitution: A Legacy of Liberty for All” is presented by St. John’s Church Foundation as part of the Walter W. Craigie Speaker Series.
From Patrick Henry’s “Liberty or Death” speech, to the Declaration of Independence, to the Virginia Statute of Religious Freedom, the common thread is liberty. Our Constitution is the embodiment of liberty: a living, breathing promise of our deepest democratic values. The Constitution protects the rights and freedoms of all Americans, serves as a blueprint for other countries, and is a legacy of liberty for all. Mr. Khan’s book This is Our Constitution: Discover America with a Gold Star Father will be highlighted during his talk.
Historic St. John’s Church is a National Historic Landmark in recognition as the location of Patrick Henry’s “Liberty or Death” speech on March 23, 1775. Tickets are $10 per person available through September 23rd at HistoricStJohnsChurch.org/events. Ticket sales and donations to the event support the Foundation’s mission.
