Victim Identified, Arrest Made in North 23rd Street Homicide

The Richmond Police Department, with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force, has made an arrest in connection with Sunday’s homicide of Harry D. Seigler.

Ernest A. Price, Jr., 51, of the 3500 block of King James Court, Henrico, was apprehended in Henrico without incident and has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His booking photo is attached.

On Sunday at approximately 11:48 a.m., officers were called to the 1600 block of North 23rd Street for the report of a male shot. Officers arrived and found Seigler, 67, of the 6100 block of Allerton Street, Chesterfield, down and unresponsive on a front porch of a structure. He had suffered an apparent gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Medical Examiner will determine cause and manner of death.


Suspect Sought in Identity Fraud

Richmond Police detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the man in the attached photo who is wanted for identity fraud. In March of 2018, an unknown man rented an apartment in Shockoe Bottom under an alias. The suspect owed over $7,000 to the complex after he was evicted in September 2018.

Suspect Sought in Theft from Church

Richmond Police detectives need the public’s help to identify the suspect (Picture below) who stole from a church on North 22nd Street. At approximately 9:28 a.m. on Friday, August 9, officers responded to the Faith Holy Church at 1022 North 22nd Street for the report of a break in. When police arrived, the victim told police that earlier that morning an unknown man had pushed the AC unit in and broke into the church. The man reportedly stole an item and is seen leaving the church on security footage.
