Skip the Flip Workshop this Saturday 9/7

Spaces are limited! Please RSVP to Jennie Dotts at 804-370-6565.

By Jennie Dotts,

Don’t leave money on the table when you buy a house. You can pay a flipper to strip a house of its historic features and then dress it up with granite, stainless and Edison light bulbs OR you can save the contractor mark-up and make your own design choices.

Historic tax credits & Richmond’s real estate tax abatement offer serious savings when you renovate a house.

On Sat., Sept. 7th, 10-noon, in the atrium behind the Long & Foster office at 313 N. 24th St., experts will discuss these and other incentives for skipping the flip and doing your own renovation. A renovation lender, contractor and Realtors experienced with historic properties will explain the nuts and bolts of finding, financing and fixing up reno-worthy houses.

Ask a question and you’ll receive free coffee and Sugar Shack donuts!
