Tuesday August 13th, The Richmond City Council met in a crowded, hot conference room in City Hall. With their chambers being remodeled they made do with the space. However, They may have underestimated the public interest in this referendum.
A large group crowded the door. Straining to hear how the City Council would vote.
The referendum proposed would allow an at large vote on November ballots. Richmond city residents would have a chance to vote yes or no on the Navy Hill Redevelopment Plan.
The Council will hold a meeting for public comment Today, August 14, at 6 PM. It is currently scheduled for the same room, 5th floor conference room of City Hall.
