Riverbend Coffee is Now Open!

Today is Opening Day at Riverbend Coffee (formerly Captain Buzzy’s)! Yesterday, August 11th, we got an invite to a soft opening at the new Riverbend Coffee and we got to officially meet the new proprietors Brian and Tasha.

We were happy to see that they’ve maintained some awesome traditions like coffee ice cubes in their cold drinks. Prices were reasonable and the staff was friendly.

We had an iced latte and iced mocha. Both were fantastic. We also got to sample some baked goods which were very satisfying.

They’re still working out a few kinks in the system so please be patient with them but definitely drop on by and meet the new proprietors!

Thanks, Brian and Tasha for saving this neighborhood jewel! Victoria and I are so excited you bought the place and have done such a wonderful job fixing it up. Best of all, Tee, Felicia and Amanda are back!! They made Captain Buzzy’s a great place. They’ll do the same for Riverbend Coffee under your dynamic leadership. Welcome!!!

Thanks everybody for the kind words! We want this spot to become what it should have been all along, a happy place where everybody can leave with a smile. We will make every effort to get that smile. If you come in and have a good experience, that’s awesome. If you come in and for some reason don’t have a good experience, don’t be shy. I have thick skin! We (Tasha and I) openly admit that we don’t really know what we’re doing, but we wanted to give it a shot and we are absolutely open to constructive criticism.

Thanks Brian for your response! We have stopped by and were so happy to see T! That said, I hope everyone gives Brian and Tasha a chance to work the kinks out too before the finding of the faults. I was happy to see the open space, the “open” windows, the mural is lovely (who did that BTW?) and I look forward to spending some time up there just enjoying a cup of coffee and seeing our Church Hill neighbors!

A soft serve ice cream machine would truly elevate this place and would make us come back over and over!! Even just having plain vanilla cones would be fantastic.
