25th St and Q shooting Leaves One Dead

Shortly after at around 1 a.m, officers were called to nearby North 25th Street and found a man dead lying in the roadway. The victim has since been identified as 33-year-old Dominic Christian, of Ford Avenue.

At that same scene, police also found a second victim who was rushed to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Police don’t believe the two incidents are related ‘due to the variety of weapons used.’

The two shooting incidents capped another violent night in Richmond’s East End. Hours before at around 8 p.m., a woman was found shot with life-threatening injuries on N. 22nd Street.

Roughly two hours later, a heavy police presence formed in Mosby Court on after police responded to reports of a crash and gunfire. Police say a car crashed into a parked vehicle and the driver ran off. Officers did not find any victim are are looking for the driver.
