Shockoe Hit and Run was Deliberate

A Tuesday Night Gone Tragic

Two witnesses interviewed by ABC News describe a scene of chaos after a woman, not yet named, got in her car after a fight outside of Image Restaurant and Lounge. In what sounds like a rage-filled incident, the woman tragically struck the victim, Shanice A. Woodberry, an aspiring nurse, with her vehicle. If you watch the video below you can see the witnesses describe the altercation. (Warning: it is disturbing)

This is different from our initial comment that this was an accident.

From the Richmond Police Department:

The Richmond Police Department identified the person killed in a hit and run earlier this morning in Shockoe Bottom as Shanice A. Woodberry, 22, of the 7200 block of Apple Orchard Road. At approximately 1:55 a.m., officers received a call for a pedestrian hit in the 1700 block of East Main Street.

Detectives are currently pursuing an individual who is believed to be responsible for striking the four victims, and killing Woodberry. “We’d like to thank all of the members of the community who immediately shared information and videos,” said Major Crimes Lt. Faith Flippo. “Our detectives are currently reviewing all of the footage that has been provided and hope to soon bring closure to these families.”

The Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Detective G. Bailey at (804) 646-6743 or Crime Stoppers at (804) 780-1000.

Hopefully ABC will pull their license. Image has been the scene of far too much violence. I for one am tired of having a block of our neighborhood be the place chesterfield goes to get violent.

Black on Black violence is in full swing and not a word from the usual “activists” hitting the black neighborhoods to kick out the drug dealers, mentor and tutor fatherless children and black pastors tending for their brethren

Get whitey. Its all whiteys fault…and Betsy Ross apparently
