AirBnB Follow Up – Community Meeting

We wanted to post a follow-up story about our AirBnB / short-term rental story that got so much engagement. The city will be holding two separate events to hear from the community about this important issue.

We always encourage residents to get involved and make your voices heard. Engagement from residents is what helps to make this a great place to live, work, and play.

1st Meeting:

  • When: Saturday, May 4, 2019, from 10:30am to 12pm
  • Where: 101 East Franklin Street, Basement auditorium of the Main Library,

2nd Meeting:

  • When: Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 6:00 to 7:30pm
  • Where: 2300 West Broad Street, Richmond Central DMV,

As an air BNB host who rents rooms in my own house I think those situations must be treated differently than those who purchase properties for the sole purpose of leasing on a short term basis through air BNB and other site. Very different scenarios. Should not be treated as the same thing.
