Congratulations, Ni’Azia Tune!
Ni’Azia Tune, an 11th grade student at Franklin Military Academy, has been selected to represent as Youth of the Year at The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club in Richmond’s East End!
The Salvation Army of Central Virginia shares:
We had four incredible candidates compete before a panel Tuesday evening. In addition to Ms. Tune, the other finalists were Tamia Young, Darius Gray and Krystal Chase. They shared stories of their academic excellence, community service and career goals.
Our panel of judges included Shani Bonaparte, who is an alum of The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club and an attorney, Staff Sgt. Gary McCray of Franklin Military Academy and Paulette Purcell, a retired teacher.

Youth of the Year is the Boys & Girls Club’s signature effort to foster a new generation of leaders, fully prepared to live and lead in a diverse, global and integrated world economy.
Ms. Tune now moves on to the state competition, which will be held in Richmond in April.

That is my baby!!! I was lucky enough to teach her in sixth grade??. She is a wonderful young lady, beautiful inside and out! Way to go!!!
