Victim identified in 19th St Homicide

The Richmond Police Department has identified the person killed in a shooting overnight as Wayne E. Friday, 35, of 2200 block of Fairfield Avenue.

At approximately 10:53 p.m., yesterday, RPD officers responded to the 1600 block of North 19th Street for the report of a shooting. When police arrived, they located Wayne Friday in an alley suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The medical examiner will determine the exact cause and manner of death.

I dunno, and im no genius here, but im guessing the exact mannar of death was from being shot?
