One question we hear a lot in community meetings, when discussing new building projects, is who’s doing the work? Local business owners and our community have a vested interest in making sure that bidding processes for jobs are fair and consider local contractors. That’s why the Richmond Office of Minority Business Development is hosting a workshop to educate local contractors about how to bid on upcoming school improvement projects.
Richmond Office of Minority Business Development to Host Workshop on Schools’ Capital Improvement Project
Richmond, VA – The City of Richmond’s Office of Minority Business Development (OMBD) will host a contractor and supplier workshop on Wednesday, August 22 at Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School from 5 – 7 p.m. in the school’s auditorium.
The workshop will provide minority business enterprise/emerging small business (MBE/ESB) contractors and suppliers information on schedules, bid processes and how to participate in Richmond Public Schools’ new construction projects.
OMBD encourages those in the construction-related industry to attend.
