Always Double Check – Lock your Doors & Windows!

We got this video from one of the neighbors showing kids digging through his car and smashing his watermelon. This is a good reminder to ALWAYS double check that your car doors and homes are locked up.

Also, as always, if you have any information about this incident or the people shown in the video report them to Crime Stoppers at 804-780-1000 or at the Crime Stoppers Website.

Call me old fashioned, but I can’t believe people have to be told to lock car doors.

Snow on the ground up there this time of year?

Not snow. It’s color night vision. The grass and other areas that in low light show black and white while the lighted areas are showing color

Ok but that really looks like snow not a watermelon. It’s too hot to be leaving fruit in a car anyways

Ok parents… why were your children out?

This is the real question. Which worthless parents are letting their kids run around and mess with other people’s stuff in the middle of the night?

Man… not the watermelon.

These look like very young kids…what time of night did this happen? They should not even be out late at night!

It isn’t fake news. That’s what a camera looks like from night vision.

That’s just what green looks like through night vision. Same as my cameras at home.

Ugh – seems so harmless but these kids will likely advance to worse crimes. Wish we could stop them. And I agree with the people asking why the parents are letting the kids out so late.

9:58pm on a summer Saturday isn’t exactly unimaginable with middle school kids. There’s a time stamp right on the video.

Can anyone tell what it is that the “kid” on the passenger side pulls out from under his shirt and carries in his left hand?

I am constantly amazed at some of the dumb comments on this site! ” Looks like snow ” . If you do not know what you are talking about, please keep it to yourself!

One thread on the Seven Hills holdup was so ludicrous I thought it was a joke. This person is FORCED TO DO ROBBERIES because of “gentrification”. It does not matter if you are black or white because this sentiment is so stupid and degrading that even the robber should be offended.

I agree, where are the parents?

Cedar and 27th. Thanks for the valuable, old fashioned advice of locking the door; I hadn’t thought of that.

We really need all year schools to keep these kids busy and to, maybe, give them the tools to pass the SOL’s. Wishful thinking.

are any of the complainers doing something to help provide positive activities/opportunities that are free or affordable for kids?
better paying jobs for parents?

try building relationships rather than just calling cops…

@ pc, how about instead people don’t have kids they don’t have the time to supervise?

Until then, yep – hope the cops stop them before the graduate to worse crimes.

ein, the same ones that pay for a $1.98 cup of coffee with a debit card.

@29…What’s wrong with that??? It’s quick and efficient and certainly better than the geezer holding up the line while counting out his pennies…

Reply
Liz 08/12/2018 at 8:08 PM

So we are judging people on how they pay for their products? Geezer? Seriously? Maybe that is how he pays for what he wants… And using a debit card? Who cares??? Get over yourselves.
