Kids Needing a Summer Adventure? Come and Enjoy the Blue Sky.

The Blue Sky Fund is a local non-profit. You might see their buses around or parked in Church Hill North. The Blue Sky Fund’s mission is to : 1) “Help children achieve academic success, especially in the sciences, through active outdoor education that is appropriate for their current science curriculum.” 2) “Develop character and leadership through outdoor experiences that expand horizons, increase confidence, and build collaboration skills.” You can learn more about them by visiting their website. So, with that being said, The Blue Sky Fund has some exciting outdoor events for kids which sound like a lot of fun! Below is quick rundown with links to sign up for the events:
Blue Sky Fund Summer Adventure Series Want to know what Blue Sky Fund’s outdoor adventures are all about? Here’s your chance! This Summer, Blue Sky Fund is hosting adventure events for the community – all fitness levels welcome – parents/guardians are encouraged to participate with children. Ages 10 and up. Limited to 14 spots. Pay what you can donation to participate – $5 minimum! Bike the Capital Trail on July 28 Hike Humpback Rocks on August 18 To register please contact Ryan Hamlet at (804) 495-1413 or ryan@blueskyfund.org. Must register, complete a Blue Sky Fund waiver and pay minimum $5 per person to hold spot.
