Updated! Guess what’s happening on Mosby/Venable?

Have you driven through Venable St and noticed all the rehabs? Maybe in particular the corner of Venable and Mosby St? Are you wondering what could be happening in this once grocery store?

Update: Thanks to our trusted readers to fill in the gaps. While this article was originally about the sister space to 707 Mosby, we’d be remiss not to talk about Housemade by Hillary! As also reported by Richmond BizSense:

A retailer specializing in rehabbing old artifacts is laying roots in Richmond’s Union Hill.
Hilary Martin has signed a lease at 2000 Venable St., where she is opening a retail space for Housemade by Hilary, a restoration business she started in 2010.
Martin, who makes and sells restored vintage home goods and furniture, plans to split the 2,400-square-foot space into a workshop and retail floor. The store will be open Thursdays through Saturdays.

What about its sister space 707 Mosby St?

Well, developer Rob Pate has been working hard at rehabbing this space highlighted here: a 650 sq ft storefront located at 707 Mosby St. This could be a cool retail space, coffee shop? donut shop? office space? This space will be fully renovated and will be finished around March.  You saw the rehabs taking place, these are exciting news for our neighborhood as mixed residential and commercial developments continue to be on the rise.

Check out this before and after. Can’t wait to see the final results!

Hey the storefront in the pictures above is still available and would make a great coffee shop! It will have all new systems and be finished around March, I hope.

Roaring Pines across the street has coffee. We need a Brooklyn-style deli and charcutterie! Meats and eats.

Great. More people that will refuse to lock their car doors and then complain about package thefts.

@7 Why would KBS want to build relationships to anything other than a bank where they deposit their funds, LOL?
