The last Christmas at S.B. Cox?

From Ann:

During a visit to S.B. Cox [over on Hatcher Street in Fulton] just a few minutes ago, ?Stuart told me that the salvage portion ?of the business will be closed by the end of the year?. This is a huge loss to those of us who’ve depended on, and enjoyed foraging at, Cox for decades.? ?However, the salvage materials and Stuart himself will be relocating to Paul’s Place.

Was there a reason behind the closure? With all of our historic homes that need tending to, it is a bit puzzling.

#2 Paul’s Place is another architectural salvage yard. He’s got an office on Overbrook Rd in North Side and a large yard off of Chamberlayne just North of the highway. Not nearly as clean or organized as Caravati’s but usually has better prices.

OK. I’m glad at least that Paul is taking over
