Church Hill Central sets October meeting

Live in Church Hill North, Oakwood, or Chimborazo, or interested in what’s going on in the area? The Church Hill Central civic group will meet on Monday, October 2, at 7:00 PM at the Robinson:

Good afternoon folks: It’s been quite a while since we’ve met as a civic association. Coincidentally, we just received a request for our input on an SUP (Special Use Permit) application for a project at 3413 S Street (see attachments for more information). We will discuss this and any other pertinent neighborhood issues (including hopefully a public safety update from the RPD), at the next Church Hill Central Civic Association meeting on Monday October 2nd at 7:00 in the upstairs office of the Robinson Theater Community Arts Center (2903 Q Street).

This looks like a very straightforward and reasonable request. I have no idea why the city has the zoning the way it does there. Virtually no property is conforming, so to do anything that matches the existing neighborhood requires a lot of extra effort. Kudos to these guys for fixing up this house!
