Street closures for RVA East End Festival this weekend

Heads up! The 3400-3600 Block of East Broad Street between Chimborazo Boulevard and North 36th Street will be closed this Friday evening and Saturday for the RVA East End Festival 2017.

The RVA East End Festival 2017: The Gift Of Arts And Music will be this Friday and Saturday, May 5-6, 2017 at Chimborazo Park. Proceeds from the inclusive community celebration of Richmond’s East End will be used to support and enhance music education in our neighborhood schools.

Performances by the Richmond Symphony and other artists are the main attraction, though the festival will also include a Kids Zone, food trucks, a beer garden and vendor booths. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy the music. The RVA East End Festival is free and open to the public.

Last year residents of the 3200-3600 blocks of Broad st. got parking passes so we could still park near where we live. Will we be getting passes again this year or do we have to park several blocks away from our homes?

The notice states no parking from 34 (Chimbo)- 36th. No one in the 3300 block should be affected.
