At least they left the tires.
I’m assuming it’s Tremors…. Call Kevin Bacon
ANSWER: The playground has been closed due to lack of use, and at least in part because it probably should not have been built on a dump site in the first place.
From Marlie Smith, Parks Operations Manager –
As the Briel St. Playground had seen minimal (or less) use since its install, in 2016 parks decided that equipment would be better suited in a more active community. In December 2016, we replaced the old playground in the Westwood Community with the Briel St. Playground set.
FYI – the playground was built on a dump site and had methane vents installed in and around the area. There have been times that DPU have recommended closing the PG when methane amounts were high.
