Despite the name, Matt The Electrician is no longer an electrician, focusing instead on a music career that has spanned the course of two decades, a dozen records, and literally thousands of shows. It’s folk music for a modern age, rooted in lyrics that focus on the realities and challenges of the 21st century as opposed to, say, the old-school thrill of hopping trains. Matt’s Wyldwood House Concerts in Austin are pretty much the reason we created “East Grace Street”.

If you read our FAQs his shows were some of the most magical nights we’ve had in Austin, ever. “He employs a broad range of acoustic instruments – horns, glockenspiel, cello, banjo – that lends his songs an organic backdrop, rickety yet near-perfect settings for his sincere, quirky observations of life.”
