Interested in a bicycle tour of Richmond’s most beautiful gardens? The 2017 Pedal through Petals will be a leisurely tour through Church Hill — visiting private and historically rich gardens along the way.
The route is about 10 miles and most riders will complete the ride in 2 to 3 hours, including stops to visit the gardens.
After the ride, enjoy local food and beverages at a party in front of The Valentine on East Clay Street featuring live music by Run the Ride, a costume contest, and a huge raffle. There will also be a Family Fun Zone with face painting, balloon artist, adoptable animals and crafts table creating “Medals for Heroes” that will be given to cancer patients.
Pedal through Petals is organized by Amy’s Army of Cancer Warriors, who are dedicated to raising awareness about cancer research and prevention. Pedal through Petals is an annual fundraiser for Massey Cancer Center.
Volunteers are needed both at Party Central, the garden spots, and as ride leaders.
